What Are Push Up Bars?
The Push Up Bars is a piece of equipment that enables all users to perform a push up - regardless of their current fitness level.  The taller bar allows users who may be intimidated by traditional push ups to perform standing assisted push ups. Using their foot placement, the user can adjust the amount of resistance that is placed on the upper body.  As the user develops strength in the upper body the push up can be customized to increase the intensity of the workout, eventually moving over to the lower push up bar which uses a traditional plank position.

The user can engage differnet muscle groups depending on where the hands are placed.  A narrow grip will engage the triceps and a wide grip will engage the chest and shoulders. The resistance is provided by the user's body weight, which is pushed up and down by bending at the elbows.

What Are Dips?
The triceps dip unit is a piece of exercise equipment that enables a user to target the triceps muscles. Triceps bench dips target the inner head of the triceps while working your entire triceps and your pectoral muscles. The triceps dip utilizes the body weight to help strengthen the muscles during the exercise. To use this unit the exerciser stands with back facing the unit and reaches back to grab the bars and begins to raise and lower the body at different levels all the while engaging the triceps muscles.

Benefit to All Users
Having a fit upper body allows a person to complete everyday tasks with less stress, both on muscles and on the cardiovascular system. An important benefit of upper-body strength is that it helps to avoid some particularly troublesome injuries such as repetitive stress injuries.

Benefits to Seniors
Not surprisingly, arms, shoulders, necks, and backs are more resilient and resistant to injury when they're strong and in good condition. As we age muscle strength deteriorates all over. Having good upper-body strength can help prevent injuries. There is no question that keeping your upper body strong can go a long way towards saving your lower back. Even if you make a conscious effort to lift heavy objects carefully, no one does it correctly every time. Having good upper-body strength will help to compensate for any extra strain put on the lower back when lifting heavy objects.
